NASCAR California Preview – Wagering and Daily Fantasy Selections – UPDATE 1.0

CaliforniaSpeedwayHi Folks –

Presently this will be an abbreviated selection article. Please watch for possible updates tomorrow. California Speedway should hold an outstanding race tomorrow.

DFS– Logano & Johnson are good choices as both will start from the rear and they are expected to make up a lot of ground. Having any driver that is coming from the back who has performed well at California is a solid choice. I like Larson to get his first win of the year and now is a good time to own him in DFS as well. Bayne could provide salary relief from the rear as well.

UPDATE – Almirola is likely to move up at a decent price if needing salary relief.

If playing a large tournament then fading one or both (Logano/Johnson) could be a strategy that separates a roster from the group.

Below are the drivers that are coming to the winners surface this week but the odds are terrible and I really can not endorse much wagering this week.

Wagering  – This is a week to mostly avoid wagering as the odds are frankly horrible across the board. However, if you do wager these are the drivers that I would consider to win based on odds value. Larson being 8/1 is not good odds but I think it’s the wrong time to go against him.

Larson – 8/1

Harvick – 8.5/1

Truex – 9/1

Blaney – 28/1

Update – J. McMurray is now 60/1 – this is a good value on a flyer. He has not been great at Auto Club Speedway but as we saw last week most anyone has a shot and 60/1 for McMurray is an excellent wagering value.
